“After Ferreira was detained, Dos Santos Rodrigues said Michael Leavitt Sr. and his father, Bob Leavitt, reached out to her.”

“‘They just kept saying, ‘Tell her to self-deport,’” she recalled. “Self-deport to where? Brazil is not her home.’” www.bostonglobe.com/2025/11/26/m...

Bruna Ferreira, 33, was brought to the United States as a child in 1998. She is now in removal proceedings in Louisiana.

NEW FEATURE: I wrote 2000 words about the art of the midrange shot.

Of the 10 NBA players who have attempted 50+ midrange shots this season, Jaylen Brown has been the most efficient - shooting 53.1%.

The shot the NBA forgot is changing everything for Jaylen Brown
The midrange shot has largely faded out of NBA basketball in recent years. But this season, Jaylen Brown has leaned on it heavily as part of his efforts to lead the Celtics to an elite offense: “The a...

Also notable - the Maine Principals' Association has had a policy of allowing trans kids to participate in school sports since 2013, but only now Senator Collins is concerned about it? Journalists should ask her why it was fine for 12 years but is now bad.
3 weeks ago, Senator Collins wouldn't tell us where she stood on protecting Mainers from gun violence because it was a state issue that "she doesn't usually weigh in on." But she'll make an exception for excluding trans kids #mepolitics
