The Republican hacks on SCOTUS start with whatever ruling will help their fellow Republican partisans and lazily work backwards from there, barely offering an excuse for their egregious hackery.

John Roberts keeps complaining no one respects them. Yeah, because we’re actually paying attention.

Reading this is gut-wrenching. It's not enough to be furious with the US leaders who have decided to let these children die. Please donate to relief organizations if you can. The World Food Program (www.wfpusa.org) is one such organization.

Liberals say that recent Supreme Court ruling have given the executive branch too much power. But they’re wrong, because the rulings only apply to Trump and will all be reversed when there’s a Democratic president.

NEW: Rachel Maddow drops unseen bodycam footage of feds coordinating the arrest of Newark Mayor Baraka.

I REPEAT: the feds ordered his arrest even though he wasn’t breaking any laws.

Federal agent: “We are arresting the mayor right now per the Deputy Attorney General of the United States.”

A grim reminder: these people will never be satisfied. There’s no point at which they will say “we’ve won, let’s enjoy life.” They will always be looking for someone else to punish, to revile, to dehumanize. They’re empty without that.

Quick point. Trump cannot silence you, period. He doesn’t have the means or the tools, and if he did he would be too weak to use them. This is a bluff.

It only works if you let it.

This Trump-packed Supreme Court is ramping up its reckless practice of providing ZERO rationale for striking down orders from appellate courts that rein in lawless acts by the Trump Admin.

Calling this ‘temporary’ doesn’t change the reality: they are enabling authoritarianism.
Chief justice allows Trump to fire a Democratic FTC commissioner for now
The ruling comes after an appeals court last week found that Commissioner Rebecca Slaughter could be reinstated to her job because the president had fired her “without cause.”

I hope everyone will forgive the bluntness of my language, but it seems like bluntness is warranted: it now seems pretty clear that the president raped children or at least knew about and actively facilitated the rape of children.

I think it is time we stopped using coded language to say that.

it’s great too that when district courts follow the law as written, one of the chuds on the Supreme Court pops up to scold them for not treating trump like a very special boy
I mean what on earth are district court judges supposed to do at this point other than get the message from SCOTUS to let Trump do whatever he wants to no matter what the law says.
