Putting this thread up again as it’s clearly time for the tough moment I outlined here. Blue states need to call a meeting of governors, immediately sign interstate mutual defense pacts etc. the federal government has dissolved and blue states are on our own. It’s time to act with courage now.
Every blue state should be calling emergency sessions to set up systems of actual authority and mutual aid in an effort to protect their citizens and themselves from the coming war between the federal government and democratically held states.
At this point, Newsom should be calling an emergency session of the legislature and considering some very uncomfortable options

This is the "testing the waters" phase of the playbook. The GOP ecosystem targets groups like Somalis, Haitians, and trans people specifically because they've calculated that the average person's passive disapproval won't ever turn into active defense. They're exploiting public apathy.
