Just so I'm clear on this, computer memory has tripled in price because a bunch of it that hasn't been produced yet has been ordered to populate GPUs that aren't installed in data centers that aren't built yet in order to service a demand that doesn't exist to make profits that don't happen.

Fascinating English language development: due to the known phenomenon of the T sound becoming CH before an R (as in train/chrain), I’ve just heard the word “stress,” which would become the cumbersome “schress” with this rule, instead fully smooth out to “shress.” Very interesting to observe.

What they rely on is fear. So by coming out in an absurdist manner, it speaks to them, to some extent, that we’re actually not that afraid.

My most millennial complaint is that I wish websites weren’t clunky worse versions of the service’s app. Quizlet’s app is fine but making flash cards with a touchscreen is way less efficient and Quizlet in-browser runs like a washer with a brick in it.
