Folks, the Dem establishment must be culled. They aren't your fighters. They don't care about you. They will not champion reform.

Here's Exhibit 429

Nope. Because this is all about the short and long term. We have to cull these people now or put the pressure on them and see if they'll change or else we all screwed.
You're not wrong, but can we please wait until after the midterms before we start the internal war? We always shoot ourselves in the foot and snatch defeat from the jaws of victory with the in-fighting. Why don't we put 100% of the attention on them and their failures and win first then cull?

Medicare for all, paid leave, universal childcare.

Busting up big corporations and tackling Wall Street’s greed.

Getting big money out of politics.

Supporting unions and fighting for higher wages.

If Dems want to win back working people, this is the agenda they must support.

Democrats biggest challenge is to build the credibility to say that the scale of Trump's corruption is greater and the consequences are super real and, while they have been imperfect in the past, they will be reformers with heart going forward.

Jeffries and Schumer need to be sidelined.

1. Trump 1.0 was more corrupt than even Nixon.
2. Trump 2.0 is Trump 1.0, but to coin a phrase, ON STEROIDS.
3. Yet the challenge for Democrats is world weary cynicism that all politicians are the same.

Unforced errors like this reinforce 3 & are really bad for the party!
"House Democrats on Thursday voted to return Rep. Henry Cuellar to his leadership role on the House Appropriations Committee following his presidential pardon on federal corruption charges."

JICYMI - Shameful, repulsive move by House Democrats and their leaders. Disgraceful.

Nuzzi is just the (now) maskless fall gal for a wide swath of journalists playing the same game but better masqueraded.
The most crucial thing about this scandal remains that Nuzzi wanted to suppress damaging information to both help Trump *and* to protect Kennedy's chances of becoming the Secretary of Child Murder should he win, and it worked: www.lawyersgunsmoneyblog.com/2025/12/a-ma...

Forever lost.
This entire article is positive about Trump Gold Cards. It contains positive quotes about it from Trump, Lutnick and a CEO. It contains no quotes from the many critics of the program. This is sandwiched between 6 posts about Erika Kirk. CBS is lost.

Why would anybody come to the United States from Europe now?
It's not just social media. Looks like visitors to the US from Europe and other countries that are part of the visa waiver program will have to submit an enormous amount of data about themselves and their families, including DNA, if proposed new rules are accepted

100% agree. Ironically, this is the only version of "broken windows" that actually makes any sense, because it has to do with the individual behavior of one person going from getting away with small crimes to getting away with big crimes, instead of being some vague theory about general contagion.
My hottest take is that letting cops park in red zones for mundane errands and coffee breaks; I think “you can break the law at your discretion as a job perk” is the small domino that ends in the large domino of “shooting protesters in the face with rubber bullets”
It must be wild to get to abuse the public then pay for it with the public's money

R U ok with paying 8 to 12 pct more in taxes and possibly losing your standard deduction ?

R U ok with losing access to different curative medications and care because the government can't afford to pay for them, even after taxing all the billionaires 90 pct?

its not bravery, its crass political calculation. there's a difference.
This is bravery and an indication that the GOP is starting to see the writing on the wall: Trump is not all powerful, won’t be around forever, and they’ve got to plan beyond him.
Indiana’s Senate has voted AGAINST the GOP gerrymander that’d have locked in a 9-0 map.

This keeps the 7-2 map in place, saving two Democratic seats heading into 2026.

The vote failed big, 19/31.

The MAJORITY of the GOP senators opposed it!

still early days but the gop gerrymandering project relied on the usual democratic sad sack response of "ok, we'll take it" and instead the party (for a change) pushed back some and it is backfiring.

now, do that for literally everything else.

I can't emphasize enough that the public sees Trump as a regular partisan president rather than a threat to the Republic because Democrats consistently act like he's a regular president and not a threat to the Republic.
They will do the same mindless, cowardly thing over and over until we get a real leadership turnover.
Significant statement from Jeffries and House Democratic leaders saying they will vote “present” on the motion to table Al Green’s resolution to impeach President Trump. They say they’re “laser-focused on fighting to lower the high cost of living” plus on health care and corruption.
