Feminism. Anxiety. Kind of a writer. Possibly reentering hockey fandom?
Worse things are happening in the world than my old grumpy self being told to smile. I know. I know.

I'm a 52-year-old woman sitting at a table alone, waiting for my car to be serviced. I have my head down and I'm typing on my phone. Some random dude walking by just said "Come on, smile. It's not that bad" in a tone that I swear was aggressive. I am speechless.

The other day my nephew told my sister "When you have an Aunt Melissa, you know you're going to have a great life." 🥹🥹🥹
What is the best compliment you ever received? Putting aside whether or not you believed it.

Fuck me I really don't want to go hunting for election results can someone just tell me if my state is going to actively try to kill me come January?

This gubernatorial election is the first one in my lifetime that has felt truly existentially significant. I'm in danger if it goes the wrong way. A lot of us are.

I am having exactly the reaction to this post as @britannica.com intended.
Harriet Tubman was born while John Adams was alive and died when Ronald Reagan was alive.

Adams: 1735-1826
Tubman: 1822-1913
Reagan: 1911-2004

When Adams was born, Hydrogen had yet to be identified.

When Ronald died, he could’ve been listening to Hoobastank.

I might have unfollowed too many political accounts. Not a single mention of Cheney's death on my timeline.🤷🏻‍♀️

My sister just texted me: "I feel like maybe we should all chip in and get Canada a nice fruit basket or something. They’ve had a rough go."

Did Drake actually do/say anything about this, or does he just get clowned any time anything happens in Toronto?
