love the era where points = FGM x 2
November 27, 1999: Minnesota's Kevin Garnett takes off from the dots for the one-handed hammer dunk against Vancouver.

Garnett finished with 20 PTS (10-16 FG) in the Timberwolves' 113-82 win. Othella Harrington led the Grizzlies with 18 PTS.

you just can't have a meaningful conversation about the potential benefits of "AI" while this stuff is happening. it's like trying to talk about how useful an airplane might be during a hijacking

one of the coolest things about ChatGPT is how you can actually just never use it. you can fill your whole entire life with simply not once using it. it's incredible.

I have my issues with Finch (I think everyone does) but the biggest problems with the team are so clearly roster problems and not coach problems. He's made some really funky rosters work with a lot of turnover. I'd like to see one (1) roster that's built to maximize Ant before we fire Finch.
i'm sorry but i just don't think the wolves are going to fire their head coach who took them to back to back western conference finals when they hadn't been past the first round in 20 years because they had a couple bad losses in a season where they are technically on pace for 48 wins.

It feels reactionary to call for a roster shakeup after two gutting and inexplicable collapses. And maybe it is. But preaching patience when "continuity" was the offseason buzzword feels like sticking your head in the sand. The roster problems are real and intractable and they don't need more time.
Honestly if I believed in the foundations of this team, if I thought the roster made sense and had capacity for growth, it would be easy to brush off two flukey collapses in a row. But I don't, so it's not, and now I'm a Wolves accelerationist. Let's skip to the increasingly inevitable shakeup.

Vibes atrocious rn, I don’t even want to watch this team. I barely watched last night and went to bed early assuming an easy win, and it turns out that was wildly optimistic. It would be one thing if the youth was giving any cause for hope on a night-to-night basis but that’s not the case.

Oh hey EPM Actual is up for this season. Not a lot of surprises but Jaden and Donte being tied feels like a misprint

Tim Walz you have 24 hours to respond
haven’t seen ROS or Solo but this seems like a pretty ball-knowing list from Pritzker, particularly if he volunteered the name “Star Wars” rather than “A New Hope”

Can you imagine leading by 8 with 48 seconds left and then losing? Not me, seems impossible.

So many huge moments down the stretch here from multiple players holy shit. Every single wolves player on the floor has had at least one massive play.

Both teams would have their deep benches in right now if Booker was half the player Ant is btw

Personally very much enjoyed Dillon Brooks trying to create space vs Jaylen Clark and getting absolutely nowhere

I feel like the wolves should just automatically win all reviews that result in a Jaden McDaniels rule but idk

"...prediction markets, if they’re liquid and transparent, capture, in a way, all of the world’s information and every signal."

Many people really believe this, and not just about prediction markets, but markets in general. And that means everything has to be reduced to the market or sloughed off.

I’m pretty much off twitter at this point but fwiw I don’t actually think this is true. This reply is about *the user* who didn’t want to see this. The algorithm still serves liberal users liberal content. Though of course it does make accusations of a BSky bubble quite hypocritical.
If you're trying to convince your friends to spend time on Bluesky rather than X, maybe show them this. X is not "the public town square" or about "free speech." It's "just what Elon Musk wants you to see." If you see stuff he doesn't like he'll step in to make sure you don't see it for long.
If you scroll on X, you are only being shown what Elon wants you to see. If you create content on X, no one will see it unless Elon wants them to.

We lost to the wizards twice last year, I am NOT complaining about them blowing a big lead and then winning by a smaller than hoped margin

You might want to sit down before reading this but the wolves perimeter defense is pretty bad without Jaden McDaniels.

The DC team wearing a gaudy, ugly gold that doesn’t at all align with the flag they’re supposed to represent feels… appropriate for the moment.
