The announcement was full of pronouncements about the future of killing people. These kinds of pronouncements are typical of the second Trump administration which has said it believes the rush to “win” AI is an existential threat on par with the invention of nuclear weapons during World War II.

American media is about to become state-run media.

Trump is out to shape the entire media landscape—from CNN to TikTok—in his own image.

It's why Trump told aides he wants to be informed of any regulatory probes into the Netflix deal.

Authoritarian takeover.

So, Trump’s plan is to give a $2K one time payment to Americans instead of to insurance companies, but Americans are supposed to use the $2K to buy insurance from insurance companies.

Did I get that right?

Not only is it willfully insufficient for people’s healthcare needs, but it’s nonsensical.

Reminder that Russia is planning terrorist attacks in the US, Canada, and Europe. Also, that on the 2024 US election day Russia sent terrorist threats to primarily democrat polling stations to aid Donald Trump. It's all connected.

What will Saudi Arabia get in return for backing Paramount's hostile takeover of Warner Bros. Censorship. Good luck making a Jamal Khashoggi film or anything critical of the regime and their allies. Plus they further entrench their influence in the US

81% of the surveyed Latinos who voted for Trump still approve of his job performance.
For the first time in nearly two decades of our surveys of U.S. Latinos, most say they think the situation of Hispanics in this country has worsened in the last year. And about a third of Latinos say they have considered leaving the country in the last six months. www.pewresearch.org/...

Every real economist in America warned at the time he was imposing tariffs that it would affect each of these things, and deportations have affected the ability of farmers to access labor. This is all happening because of one man.

The tariffs are the greatest abuse of power by a President in our history.
The President of the United States unilaterally levied a tax on all of us and is redistributing our taxes to a core segment of his supporters.
Trump: "I'm delighted to announce this afternoon that the US will be taking a small portion of the hundreds of billions of dollars we receive in tariffs ... and we're going to be giving and providing it to the farmers in economic assistance. We love our farmers. The farmers like me ... $12 billion"

Key thing to remember is: They want these fascist fortress cities because *they believe existing nations are going to collapse*

These are escape hatches for a post-democracy world they seek to create. I would argue that they have gotten much farther than they should have. See: DOGE, crypto, etc
The Financial Times finally covers the Network State cult.

Is this tech fascism?

Trump claims he wants to lower housing costs, but his allies in the House just axed a bipartisan bill that UNANIMOUSLY passed the Senate to do just that.

If Republicans keep blocking legislation to cut housing costs, Democrats will pass it ourselves when we take back Congress.
