Allowing unrestricted gas exports from the east coast of Australia has resulted in domestic wholesale gas prices more than tripling and electricity prices doubling, our research found.

Read:
Gas exports have tripled Australian gas prices and doubled electricity prices
New Australia Institute research reveals that gas exports have led to the tripling of wholesale east coast gas prices and doubling of electricity prices, since exports began in 2015.

“In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Those affected receive a small apartment & counselling with no preconditions. 4 out of 5 people affected make their way back into a stable life. And all this is CHEAPER than accepting homelessness.”

It costs a lot less to house people.

There is no gas shortage in Australia.

Remember: Australia exports 80% of its gas.

Despite the fact that nearly all sides of politics agree, this hasn't stopped Big Gas from pushing the myth of a shortage to justify digging new gas fields.

Dr Ken Mulvaney thought that once people realised how important the rock art was, there would be no more industrial development at Murujuga.

Instead he's seen multiple new developments built, creating acidic emissions that are slowly destroying the rock art.

I am fascinated by how simple it is for bad actors like Trump and Dutton to use mainstream media to trick, lie and manipulate. The ABC really needs to investigate how it came to be that the Indonesia-Russia fake news came to be platformed during an election campaign so uncritically.
Wow. So Patricia Karvelas on ABC #afternoonbriefing gave Peter Dutton a 30 minute platform to accuse the govt of "catastrophic failure" over the Indonesia/Russia rumour.

ABC News now report it's a non-story, "simply not true"

Disgracefully irresponsible journalism from ABC News.

International students have been proven again and again to have nil to negligible impact on housing affordability EVEN NEAR UNIVERSITIES — and even if they were juicing demand, that’s no reason to deny people their right to share in our cities and excellent education system.

JUST BUILD MORE HOMES!
The Coalition estimates its policy would see 30,000 fewer new international students per year than Labor’s policy. It would also hike visa fees to $5,000 for some unis.
The Coalition has announced an even more radical plan to cut international students than Labor. Here’s how it would work

WA missed out on at least $9.6 billion in revenue from not charging royalties on gas over the last four years.
