There is absolutely no need for electric shock collars, ever. They achieve nothing that can't be acomplished through more humane, and kinder methods.

As someone who’s been fighting depression since my teens, I can’t say this enough: don’t face it alone. It’s hard, I know, but reach out for help, whether from a charity or a professional. There are many free options out there.

Some places have a Bridge Troll who demands payment to safely pass.
We have a Stair Cat who works on broadly the same principle. He demands tickles to safely pass.

lot of negativity towards AI lately, but consider :

are these tools ethical or environmentally sustainable? No.

*but* do they enable great things that people want? Also no.

*but* are they being made by well meaning people for good reasons? Once again, no.

maybe you're not being negative *enough*

The road to hell is paved with good intentions. I don't disagree with the intent of the online safety bill, but the implementation is an omni-shambles.

Repeal and try harder.

It's right there. I can see it. Just give me all of it and I'll deal with it myself.

There is absolutely no excuse for any right-minded person or body to still be on Twitter, it's absolute filth. Governments have failed to legislate for the billionaire/social media/AI/tech bro/fascist black hole and it's far too late to do anything about it now. I'm terrified.

June is Pride Month. Let's call out companies who show support for LGBTQ+ people while also advertising on GB News, a channel that pumps out LGBTQ+ hate. Tell these companies to pick a side - hate or Pride:

Sometimes we don’t have much of a choice in businesses we use. Banks, phone companies, utility providers etc. There are however many instances in which we do. I wish more people would shun businesses who are frequently shown to behave poorly. We have more power than we sometimes think.

They are so unbelievably and terribly desperate. You don’t do things like this unless you are scraping the bottom of the barrel for revenue and adoption. This is the ultimate form of the tech industry: a despicable, wretched, entitled, destructive, abusive digital despot that wants to con your kids.
So, uh... I just did a Google search which was not about homework... because I haven't been in school in decades, and I got this pop up from Google. And, like, I actually think there are ways to use AI in school properly, but this kind of advertising from Google seems... super sketchy.

A.I. is the first bite of the Ouroboros. Industry has started eating itself. First was the content; steal it all and in 5 years time wonder why there is nothing left to steal. Now the workforce; replace entry level with AI and in 5 years time wonder why it's so difficult to recruit mid-level roles.
