Yes and this is one of the direct lines between the immigrant detention complex and the PIC. We gotta keep making connections for folks. We can see the logic in real-time, the admin set a goal for number of deportations and is using criminalization to strive for that goal.
I think what a lot of folks miss is how profitable deportation is for the corporations involved & the politicians they're backing.
Holding people, physically removing them, is cost for the taxpayer & profit into the pockets of the worst people you can imagine.
