Right now, Democrats have the power to defund and abolish ICE. We should do it. This is about right and wrong—and the murder we are seeing on the streets is just plain wrong. Anyone who supports funding DHS and ICE is supporting the murder of Americans. We can stop this.

I know all eyes are on Minneapolis, but there's a fast-approaching nightmare in Springfield, Ohio.

Trump is revoking protected status for tens of thousands of Haitians living there on Feb. 3.

Reportedly, on Feb. 4, 1000 ICE agents are arriving to remove this population. Ethnic cleansing.

IDK why right-wingers keep bringing up Obama's record deportations, it just shows that if you wanted to have a conservative immigration policy without partisan militias occupying cities and gunning people down in the streets you could do it and a lot of americans would be fine with it

The killing of Alex Pretti and the grotesque lying was an overreach by the administration. They've paid a price and had to pull back a bit. But it's when there's some disarray that the democratic opposition needs to intensify the offensive, and turn a marginal tactical success into a major victory.

Any billionaire could fund a local paper in each of 50 biggest metro areas in the country for a century. We need a better class of dynastic oligarch, someone who wants to endow institutions and actually live forever rather than throw gaudy ass Venice second weddings
In absolute earnest: The least bad model for funding journalism at the moment seems to be dynastic wastrels running the family paper out of noblesse oblige as their only real business interest. File with liberal democracy and capitalism under the heading "Worst System Except for All the Others."
