Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.

It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

The only surefire way to stop oligarchs buying up the things we love is to drop those things the moment oligarchs buy them & that requires changing habits and massive self-discipline.
It means going to alternatives that might not be quite as good or convenient.

At the park with my kids and I brought myself a sandwich on sweet Hawaiian bread, stuffed with deli turkey, whole grain Dijon, grated carrot, chopped kimchi, and butter lettuce. Now that’s a sammy that really hits on a sunny day. 😋🥪

The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service

The whole “war crimes” discourse happening right now is absolutely maddening because Congress never declared war. If we are not at war, there is no war crime. The US military is just straight up murdering people, and we need to say that.

Pro tip you can make really awesome pizza by pouring sourdough starter into a hot cast iron skillet, sprinkling with salt, oregano, and garlic, baking until crispy, then topping it and popping it back in for 8 mins. It’s fuckin delicious but it makes small pizzas which is sad when you want more. 😢🍕
