Can’t name it exactly, but this a the peculiar quality of insipid contentlessness that makes you know it came from Weiss directly.
Incredible. CBS Evening News announces five new “simple values” — instead of their “38-page handbook” — as they roll out Tony Dokoupil is lead anchor.

One of those values is simply: “We love America and make no apologies for saying so.”

"Why does the United States support Israel?"

A report in October noted that the most recent time Israel violated the ceasefire, the stock prices of RTX, Lockheed Martin, and Boeing each jumped by at least 1.8%.

THAT'S WHY.

On Epoch’s map there’s a green circle over New Albany, Ohio. Click the circle and it’ll take you to a satellite view of the business complex where Meta is constructing its "Prometheus" datacenter. According to Epoch, the total cost of construction is $18 billion and it uses 691 megawatts of power.

Silicon Valley and the Trump administration are betting the entire American economy on the continued growth of AI, a mission that’ll require spending billions of dollars on datacenters and new energy infrastructure.

If you’re in Pasadena for the parade, do yourself a favor and visit the sidewalk around city hall at 4:45 PM. The chaos and cacophony of a thousand red-crowned parrots returning to roost in the trees is worth it!

Update: US Central Command says today that it and Syrian partners killed or captured "nearly" 25 ISIS members in Syria (7 confirmed dead by CENTCOM figures) Dec. 20-29. That is separate from the big strikes on Dec. 19 that went after 70 targets (how many killed specifically, we don't know).
So okay. The US, military or otherwise, carried out attacks in Somalia, Nigeria and Venezeula between Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Going wider to last week there were at least six different operations between Dec. 22-25.
