I could see removing National Public Lands Day and the anniversary of the Great American Outdoors Act as there are other "free days" in those months (Aug & Sept). But removing MLK Day and Juneteenth makes no logical sense and adding Trump's birthday is disgustingly inappropriate.

My son needed to use a laptop to take notes and essay exams due to hand weakness. The doc filled out the uni's paperwork, but it was rejected due to "lacking information." They wouldn't say what was missing until I explicitly asked them "do you need ICD codes?" It wasn't even solicited on the form!

I sure hope the roads get better soon. My daughter and son-in-law are currently in Indy and drive to Lansing, MI, on Monday. As Texans they're not exactly ice-proficient!

Universities are assembling larger and larger teams to deal with academic integrity issues--mostly focused on AI--while simultaneously holding AI "writing" contests, AI-themed events, "hey, come play with these fun tools!" The messages are so mixed, it's criminal. Because AI is bloated with money.

I had to state that my 17yo was diagnosed with a mental health condition. It's not a lie, though I'm not sure why anxiety/depression would make one more susceptible to COVID. And I would tell a white lie to get a vaccine (that's not legitimately contraindicated) for my kid if necessary.

Every reporter covering this story needs to make something very, very, explicitly clear:

VACCINES DO NOT CAUSE AUTISM.
VACCINES DO NOT CAUSE AUTISM.
VACCINES DO NOT CAUSE AUTISM.
VACCINES DO NOT CAUSE AUTISM.
VACCINES DO NOT CAUSE AUTISM.
VACCINES DO NOT CAUSE AUTISM.
