And in terms of CLINICIANS? All bets are off. Call. Them. Out. I do not have to treat other clinicians as gently as I do clients. Sometimes I do, when I have the energy and when they are open to self-examination. I try to react similarly when I am challenged or made aware of biased thinking. 4/

"what it feels like for you saying that to me, as a woman." And sometimes they really think. Say something like, "Well I don't mean women like YOU" and then we can have a conversation about it. Therapy doesn't mean placating clients. Clients are here to grow, and growth can be challenging 3/

With clients, I still will do gently challenging when appropriate, and let them know how what they say sounds like. Ex: "You're saying that women are making up rape allegations to get attention. I'm wondering..." 2/

Post that got me a few real mad ppl on a therapist fb page referring to biased clinicians: "Therapy is political. Fascism is unacceptable. We cannot let fascists, racists, xenophobic people, ableists, etc, be comfortable. It is our job to call them out."... 1/
