A fun way I brought this to my bands small following was by including bandcamp downloads in cassettes we made.
The cassette was basically merch, (although did Indeed have the full album professionally recorded to it). Most people were essentially just buying the code in a fancy case.

Elon buying D&D has to be him being a financial masochist at this point.
Last company he bought at least someone had to develop a platform to compete with and circumvent his BS.... D&D is just in our heads?! like we don't need to keeping buying in to keep playing??

the weird thing about the zeitgeist around AI is we both give it the allowance of fallibility that you would give a 4 year old, yet expect it to reliably increase productivity at a corporate level.
Like imagine if Microsoft came out with a new version of excel that hallucinated as much as GPT...

As a life long hipster, I at least have this to defend my vast collection of VHS tapes and Kitaro cassettes.
The 00's-10's terror and hate of "hipsters" worked wonders for convincing people that culture smaller/weirder/more personal than Top 40 or Disney properties was suspicious and insincere. I still see people pushing middle age talking about culture through this lens and it's bonkers. Brain damage

I wonder if the popularity of post post apocalyptic worlds such as Gene Wolfe’s Urth or Jack Vances books are partly due to the strange hopeful idea that humanity will eventually evolve to survive and live along side pollution, radiation, and all these microplastics in our testicles.
