I'm really missing running tabletop roleplaying games. There's no way to say this without sounding conceited, but it's something I'm really good at.

So: would anyone be interested in an online campaign? I can't say how long it would run, and obviously there would be no commitment. I haven't run […]

Huh. What were those three waters again? Drinking water, waste water, and the water behind the ears of National voters? No, that can't be it. What was it? Their piss for brains? No, that's waste water.

What was the third water? Oh, it's gonna bug me now.

Quick question, do you think shop owners know that the ultra-rich are taking money out of the wallets of their customers?

Honestly, I thought the 2025 Naked Gun movie was pretty true to the original. No one has quite the deadpan that Lesley Nielson had, but Liam Neeson does ok.

I think they kept very close to the original comedy style.

If you would prefer AI not to be integrated into your browser, but still like a feature rich browser, I welcome you to try Vivaldi.

In these two weeks, I've made great progress, as you can see in the progress list.

However, I'd love some help implementing some features, or help with UI design, as it takes me […]

What does everyone else do with dear friends that have died?

I have contacts in my phone with numbers that will never be answered, but I find it really hard to delete those numbers.

Trump was elected less than a year ago. It feels like he's been in for a decade.

There is three more years of this.

Urgh.

I won't start ranting about it because I just get myself worked up, but quickly: I literally can not think of an investment of public funds that has a higher return than *cleaning the indoor air in schools*. It's so easy, so cheap, & has such HUGE payoff. Criminal that we basically don't do it.

Finally deleted the reddit app, with regret. It was important to my career, and I like it, but the algorithmizing and infinite scroll turned it from the enjoyable experience of checking in with interesting topics into yet another app generically trying to addict you.

15+ years old, but still VERY relevent — and if we had acted 15 years ago, the “better world” we’d be creating would be a LOT better & easier to reach. There are real consequences we’re just starting to see to not heeding this cartoon a lot sooner.

Even worse if we don’t heed it now. #ClimateCrisis

I think this is one of my favourite colourful climate chart type things, because it depicts two things at once:

- Things are going to get worse, no matter what

- The degree to which they get worse depends on decisions made today

The anti-vaccine movement has the same talking points now as it did in the 1800’s. It’s always been a rejection of science, scientists, and progress, with a soupçon of paranoia.

Below is a slide for a talk I’m preparing that illustrates the identical strategies. I have more examples, too.
