Fossil Pokémon are part Rock-type because they were resurrected from rocks; I like to imagine the Rock-type sometimes replaces one of its original types. For instance, Cranidos is a pure Rock-type, so it could've originally been Normal-type.

I always knew that in the original Pokémon games, the TV in your bedroom plays a movie. Now I know that it's a film by Rob Reiner adapted from a novella by Stephen King. 6-year-old me playing the game for the first time couldn't possibly grasp the significance, but he sure does now.

The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service

Dream one: I watched a small plane make a crash landing into a parking lot. I had to move out of the way to avoid it, and I called 911 for the pilot; it was all very "what would you do in a disaster?"
