God dammit it took one minute.

Well. I somehow made my ten minute connection. O'Hare cooperated for the first time in the history of the airport. I'm sure nothing will go wrong.

The US should be at a minimum 19 different countries.
The state of Wisconsin alone is disorientingly massive and it's a pretty average state.
The US is very big

Could it work the other way around? Would love to get wheeled off a flight after being motionless for 2-8 hours.
December 19, 2025 at 1:46 AM
Last time I did this flight through O'Hare we got there early and taxied for a literal hour.

This time we left late, and if we do that again, I'm going to walk to MKE tonight.

I barely watch any NFL football, but when I do, it's almost certainly in French.

The median projection was 3/45. 1/20 is better than 3/45.

The internet was a mistake.
Also, guys, therapy is ok.

There are ten people on this flight and by the smell of it, I'm the only one who didn't bring bacon.

They should ban food on airplanes. Who do I call about this?
December 15, 2025 at 7:10 PM
The crew to passenger ratio on this flight to LaGuardia is almost 1.0

MKE is a ghost town today.

Every generation has its shibboleth. This ain't any different than yours or mine.
ESSAY: If you encountered a single child in 2025, you likely heard the phrase six-seven, writes Robert Isenberg, a filmmaker and the father of an 11-year-old boy. As a parent it's annoying. But as a writer, he's grudgingly fond of six-seven. www.wbur.org/cognoscenti/...

It's very irksome how many owners are just okay with bad baseball in the name of an insignificant amount of money.

You want to level the playing field, there's a significantly easier way.

Too bad the billionaires make all the rules.

Should have thought about that before you codified them into existence.
"For the first time, a majority of Americans believe billionaires are a threat to democracy. A remarkable 71 percent believe there should be a wealth tax. A majority believe there should be a cap on how much wealth a person can accumulate."

Man when was the last time the Packers were eliminated this early?
December 15, 2025 at 1:19 AM
And at this rate we'll ONLY need kickers in a decade or two.
kickers kicking better than ever is exciting and a demonstration of skill, not a reason to change the goddamn rules

i’m sick of the reaction to every development in skill or strategy being “change the rules!” let the game evolve, let counter-skills and strategies develop

not everything needs a fix

A more correct take: no gloves, no pads, no helmets.

Make the sport fun and safe again.
A take: glove tech is way out of control. Receivers shouldn’t be allowed these gloves made of spider hairs or whatever.

All kicking should be removed from football, it's a silly ancillary function not related to the general goals of the game. Kickoffs, punting, and field goals are trash.
Football is not its best version of itself if you can kick a 60-yard FG like that ho hum on a fourth-and-3 in that spot. Amazing stuff but objectively not as compelling as Marmalard being forced to throw for the yardage. It's a gameplay problem. You gotta fix it

Another week of having no idea how well the Packers are doing because even winning by 30 is a nightmare for the fans.
