I see people are still ignoring my idea of what if everybody got a free coca cola but to get your coca cola you had to solve a scavenger hunt of 20 cryptic clues hidden in the skyway system

This is what oligarchy looks like:

If you're Elon Musk, the richest man alive, Tesla gives you a $1 trillion pay package & Trump gives you a huge tax break.

If you're a poor kid on SNAP, Trump appeals a court decision that would have prevented you from going hungry.

Obscene.

condemnations of political violence are well taken but it does feel as if some
prominent political commentators are of the view that violence isn’t a part of the history of American politics and that is very much not true.

Whether it’s Republican politicians joking about the murder of Melissa Hortman or Democratic politicians expressing their condolences after the murder of Charlie Kirk, both parties have a extreme rhetoric problem.

After a mass shooting in Minneapolis killed two children and injured at least 17 other people, Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve criticized the inaction to reduce gun violence.

"It’s such an indictment of our society, our lack of regard for life."

45 years ago this month—before a half dozen books and thousands of articles on the band—a shortlived magazine called Trax published the first written words on the Replacements. As Bob Mehr notes in his Replacements book "Trouble Boys," it was barely three weeks since the Mats' first proper club show

I object on aesthetic and maybe quasi-moral grounds to language like “devout” and “deeply religious” in this context. If his fanaticism adhered to a different faith, he’d get “fanatic,” “extremist,” “zealot” etc. Perverting the Cross to commit murder exempts you from “devout”

Seriously, though... Yvette protected Hope. Hope made the call to 911. And then one officer had the thought, "The Hortmans live nearby. Can someone go check on them?"

Those three actions might have saved so many more lives.
This, after Yvette had thrown herself in front of her daughter to shield her from the bullets... astounding that the family is all alive.

A photo of Sen Hoffman watching his daughter Hope speak at Disability Visibility Day at the Capitol. You can see the love between them on his face. Hope is the reason more people were not gunned down yesterday. She’s a force in the disability community and a hero to our state.

The fact that the Brooklyn Park police proactively went to the Hortman residence and interrupted the attack in progress, thus separating the perp from his weapons cache, saved untold lives.
NEW: Officers searched Boelter's vehicle and found at least three AK-47s, a 9mm handgun, a list of names & addresses of other public officials. Officers found in the area a ballistic vest, a disassembled 9mm, a mask, & a gold police-style badge.
