Today, after months of requests, I toured the Broadview ICE Processing Facility. I want to share what I saw.

The facility has no food vendor, no medical care, and detainees have to use toilets in the middle of shared cells. These are in no way suitable conditions to be holding anyone — period.

This is a very good idea.

Your list is probably a little different from someone else’s because our bodies & tolerances vary (ex: those of us with Raynaud’s 🥶).

Find what works for your body and trips. It might take some fine tuning, but IMO it’s so worth it.

Winter biking is awesome.
Hey winter cyclists: the smartest thing I've done after threatening to do it for too many years was actually write down what to wear based on temperature. This helped immensely last year, and winter is coming 🥶

Whatever one thought of it in the moment it's clear that a wide swath of Saint Paul residents have given SPPD a lot of good faith assumptions during an era when policing is under greater scrutiny. And I think today is gonna mark a major shift in that sentiment for a significant chunk of citizens.

Bummed the MNUFC season is done. Was a fun year that felt like wanting more. I think we have a good foundation to build on, need to sign DSC and get a striker. Hard to believe 2 years ago we had just fired Heath.

I maintain that this is the wildest thing about being an elder millennial. We're entering middle age having been involved in the whole search engine arc of nonexistent to world-changingly valuable to unusably shitty.
Google at its peak was basically the best information retrieval system in human history and they and every competitor decided going from there to “you didn’t want answers you wanted half-assed auto-complete 80%-wrong hallucinations” in a few years was the right idea

God, if that's what the message is gonna be, make that the message. I fucking love my trans friends. I fucking love my Somali neighbors. Send a volunteer to every door in Minnesota and say "I love my neighbors and you do too". Literally nothing more Minnesotan than loving your neighbor
If messaging out of Minnesota’s GOP to Congresspeople is any indication, our state is going to spend 2026 drowning in messages targeting Somali community, immigrants, and trans folks.

These aren’t “distractions” they’re active attempts to scapegoat anyone seen as “other.”

We must stand together.

This is proven to keep road users AND law enforcement safe. It is a massive tax savings compared to the alternative. AND it was supported by law enforcement.

Rep. Greg Davids should look at the facts they're strongly in favor of this common sense initiative.
