Trump threatens to sue the fed chair and I can’t find the story in the WSJ or the NYT.

The radical has now been completely normalized.

FTR, we reported it yesterday on Cnbc.

Democrats, we need to talk.

These 8 senators let themselves get played by Republicans on reopening the government, and every one of us knew exactly how this would go. They handed Republicans the only leverage we had in the healthcare fight.

Something happened to Angus King in early 2025.

After calling Trump's actions "the most direct assault on the authority of Congress, I believe, in the history of the US" and floating the idea of grinding things to a halt to bring MAGA to heel...he just melted.

Why? What's the story? #MEpolitics
Sorry but I still can't get over this.

Angus King on the Senate floor yesterday: "We could reclaim our power...by...holding the president’s nominees...until he ceases his attempts to make policy unilaterally."

The VERY SAME DAY he voted to confirm a Trump election denier nominee. #MEpolitics

Weird thing about this is Angus King caved from basically the beginning: He's one of the three (including Fetterman) who voted to capitulate a full month ago. (tinyurl.com/3y7v89zx)

So the idea that he 'got what we wanted' or there was some sophisticated calculus at work makes no sense. #MEpolitics

Thou shalt replace Chuck Schumer with Chris Van Hollen, who personally went to El Salvador to find Kilmar. That’s the kind of courage we need right now.

@schumer.senate.gov and @durbin.senate.gov, step down and GTF out of the way. This is not leadership. It’s either cowardice or corruption or incompetence.

Long, yet informative article about Graham Platner.

@aobrien2024.bsky.social lays out the hows and whys of Platner's media downfall juxtaposed against his maintaining strong support still from Mainers.

In other words, balanced reporting, which I find refreshing.
Here is my latest piece about how badly national media - both left and right - have fumbled their reporting on Graham Platner and why so many of us here in Maine really like the guy.

Ezra, he died while defending his false claim that trans people are more likely to commit mass shootings. He called Leviticus 20:13--a verse saying gay men should be stoned to death--"God's perfect law."

I agree political violence is unacceptable, but what you're saying here is just not true.

These are calls for mass political violence, against all Democrats. They openly call for the bombing of "Democrat" cities and for the jailing or killing of Democratic politicians. They are from some of the most influential voices in right-wing politics. Will anyone say anything?

Condem gun violence in America, offer thoughts to families, pray to your gods of inaction, but realize the violence and killings are only going to escalate in this climate stoked by corruption, misinformation and injustice. I mourn for the country but not for those who have blood on their hands.

You are trying to solve a problem that doesn't exist. Noncitizens don't vote in numbers that cause a problem. Those that do cast an erroneous ballet are caught and punished. We don't need laws that will prevent people from being able to vote like this one. Resign Maine deserves better representation
