Bluesky may soon add blue check verification | TechCrunch

This is quite fun.

“America would be better off if more people worked in manufacturing.”

• 80% of Americans agree
• 20% disagree

“I would be better off if I worked in a factory.”

• 25% of Americans agree
• 73% disagree
• 2% currently work in a factory

The mRNA COVID vaccine was a scientific miracle, and people reading history a century from now will be completely bewildered by not only the lack of celebration but the outright hostility toward this achievement.
Good news is rare these days so here's some: This winter's COVID wave was less than half as deadly as last year's

Instagram forcing me to randomly wait 5 seconds while scrolling because I chose "non-customized ads" (~"please don't spy me as much")... crazy! Uninstalling.

Gentle reminder today to anyone who needs it: you can celebrate today, (or any other day, if you prefer) in any way you like, or not at all. You don’t have to live up to anyone’s expectations of you. You deserve kindness.

Genuinely makes me sad that history is filled with so many incredible fascinating stories yet the most popular history show on Netflix is some dipshit looking at old civilisations and just going "looks like they used secret technology or magic to build this"
