In fact, the original map looks like a smoothed out version of the Atlas of North American English

They released the plans for the Kowloon redevelopment. Not a joke. Look how insane this is.

The elimination of USAID is a moral atrocity and all involved made a choice to enable, and then lie about, ending the lives of some of the most vulnerable people in the world.
MAE SOT, Thailand (AP) - Mohammed Taher clutched the lifeless body of his 2-year-old son and wept. Ever since his family's food rations stopped arriving at their internment camp in Myanmar in April, the father had watched helplessly as his once-vibrant baby boy weakened, suffering from diarrhea and begging for food.
On May 21, exactly two weeks after Taher's little boy died, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio sat before Congress and declared: "No one has died" because of his government's decision to gut its foreign aid program. Rubio also insisted: "No children are dying on my watch."
That, Taher says, "is a lie."

a tiny house isn't a trailer the same way a rich white person gets to be an "expat" instead of an immigrant

I remember that day well. many people on Twitter saying "we need to act now, today. not next week, not next month. it will be too late." and then everyone just...waited. well here we are.

It's almost like January 6th, 2021 happened and then time just skipped over to January 20th, 2025. It's one long illegal coup.

this is a literal attack ad running in Australia right now lol
Screenshot of a political TV ad, showing a full hospital waiting room and the text "Dutton wants Australia to be like America". The ad is from the Australian Labor Party, Dutton is the opposition leader (of the more conservative party)

"voters rejected Harris because of a fake economic crisis conjured by journalists and burrito taxi lovers and now we're getting a real one created by her opponent" is a level of consequence I wasn't sure still existed. let's see if the people figure out who to blame (challenge level: impossible)

i think it is cool that a government run by fanatical bigots is on track to plunge the economy into a mountain and cause a food crisis

So this is funny.
The administration just issued a rule slashing foreign agricultural worker wages. And to justify it, in a public filing, Trump's Labor Department alleges that Trump's immigration enforcement has devastated the Ag workforce and caused a "risk of supply shock-induced food shortages."

"texas is a bit of a mess" sounds like they nailed it then lol
