I couldn't agree more. Apple suffers from a similar fascination for half-baked features and a general disdain for its users. Prove me wrong. I'm buying a new computer soon.

Star Trek Deep Space 9 scene. We're in a hall of some kind, kind of smoky and dimly lit like a bar in Wisconsin after 8pm. Lots of Klingons are sitting and chatting in the background, must be meat raffle night. Up close, Worf and another Klingon are standing and talking. I've been fighting this fight. Child safety is important. Reading every message every person in writes or receives unencrypted is not only a flagrant violation of personal liberties, but also WILDLY ineffective as a means of detection.

It'd be nice if editors at major media outlets did a basic refresher on journalistic ethics so they could understand that claims require a factual basis. By any reasonable metric, DOGE has *increased* the spending of the government and *increased* the deficit while reducing the quality of services.
