My no-fun-at-parties take is that "christmas is a secular holiday" is an uncomfortable way of assuring me that christianity is the status quo and everything outside of that is an aberration. Sorry! It's still a christian holiday!! Just because you're an atheist doesn't make it secular!

Keep thinking about this term "pre-digested" that Kojima used to describe art that's instantly gratifying. And how it's better when people grow to love something instead.

Because they always fail. Every time. They just make you spend a bit of money to work around them. Stop making laws about things you don't like just because you don't understand them and that scares you.

I keep thinking about how only a third of those who lived in the American Colonies during the Revolution supported the revolution. 1/3 opposed, the rest wanted any peaceful end.

I wanted to get a video of this ghost crab but every time I got close to their hole they scuttled back in, so I tried getting clever with it. I made a little sandcastle and shoved my phone into it, hit record, and walked away. Crab was VERY suspicious of this addition to their environment.
