Just heard a barn owl for the first time ever. He is oh so helpfully perched maybe 10 yards from my back door in total forested darkness. I may need a priest to come do an exorcism. like... wtf IS that? Why do they need to sound like that? How do I get the charming hooting owls to come over instead?

The most enraging thing for me is those ICE raids don’t need to include armed agents in military trucks swarming little bodegas.
They could deport people the way they always have, the way we never noticed under other administrations. The show of force is theater.

If this was all a movie, it would be painfully obvious that #Trump is the false prophet sent to lead the unworthy astray. Everyone in the audience would be waiting for the fire and brimstone plot to start any day now. No one would be shocked to see Satan peel that orange skin suit off and rage out.

I could be wrong about this but I really think most Americans do not want to be forced to “do their own research” about food & drug & product safety and would rather that the government agencies that have been sorting that all out for them for decades not be obliterated in the name of “efficiency.”
