i like (hate) how this entire thread and all of its replies are just complaining about student "failures," with very little blame in regards to structural issues that academia pretends it doesn't have
An issue we're seeing at all levels of university is that many students are simply refusing to do *anything*. They aren't reading the syllabus, aren't following assignment guidelines, aren't engaging with material, ignoring deadlines. And this might seem like old news, but it truly has ramped up.

this is why i don't call or email my rep and senators. they have net worths of at least 7 figures but they want me to go hungry to help them win, despite them not being willing to do anything helpful if they do win
Instead they seem to see the issue as another “give us money” trigger. I got two Mark Kelly texts out of nowhere yesterday asking for cash
dems should be putting out new “dont follow illegal orders” videos every day, they should be replying to announcements of investigations of dems with new videos, they should be posting at hegseth to not follow illegal orders nonstop
