Trypophobia alert 🫣

This is an Acorn Woodpecker (Melanerpes formicivorus) from Central America & Western United States, filling his acorn larder

If Trypophobia is new to you, it is an aversion to the sight of repetitive patterns or clusters of small holes or bumps

Our microwave died, so my husband bought a new one that has a built-in air fryer, and now he is trying out air frying things with the glee of a child who has a new toy.

Look, it can air fry tater tots! French toast sticks for Squidling! A grilled cheese sandwich!

I'm still kind of afraid of it. 😅

Today's theme for #FolkyFriday is 'gifts'. There is an old tale of the wren bringing fire to mankind. In its quest to get the flame, it became scorched by the sun. All the other birds gave the wren the gift of a feather as thanks, apart from the owl who refused.
Art my own.

Galanthus 'Alans treat'
Originally found in Normandy in 2003 by the late Alan Street its a beautiful poculiform with virescent outer tepals

Its considered bad form to name a plant after yourself
So a clever play on words was employed to sidestep this rule 😂
