I don’t want to be an anti, against anybody. I simply want to be the builder of a great affirmation: the affirmation of God,who loves us and who wants to save us.

It's time for #Europe to stop whining and finally man up. I'm not even into making jokes about DT or smirking at Hegseth's BS anymore.

With the #NSS, it is clear now that the #USA are a power that is hostile to us.

You don't make stupid jokes about your enemies. You cut them off.

Hinauf, Patrioten! zum Schloß, zum Schloß!
Hoch flattern die deutschen Farben;
Es keimet die Saat und die Hoffnung ist groß,
Schon binden im Geiste wir Garben:
Es reifet die Aehre mit goldnem Rand,
Und die goldne Erndt' ist das — Vaterland.

btw, Balthasar calls Joan of Arc "more innocent than Antigone and trembled like her in full awareness before a terrible death, struggling painfully to maintain full fidelity to herself" and he calls her judges "more guilty than Creon."

He NEVER lets the church off the hook for her death.
This is such a great back-and-forth about which kinds of laws matter and why. Moving between death as a leveler of deeds, civic piety (Creon: δυσσεβεῖ), family, the divine command to bury the dead, moral worthiness, and just... being a darn *woman* (Creon: giving himself away).

The best thing that happened today is the whole rejection of the argument that priests need to be men because Jesus was a man.

The same is true with social media and big tech. And don't get me started with the case of monopolising
So much of this shit is gambling! Robinhood is fucking gambling! Crypto is gambling! Videogame business models are gambling! It's all fucking gambling! Laws need to really catch up to the fact that the brain can be hacked by this shit.
This is gambling, and we've essentially decided that it's okay to let it go on entirely unregulated for ??? Reasons.

The thing is, if they want to become an isolationist country, then don't meddle with our politics.
European centrist governments are accused by America of destroying Western civilisation by allowing mass migration, betraying traditional social values and censoring conservative speech. They rightly sense a Trumpian trap econ.st/4pM6hP9

My take is we need to promote the beauty of poetry and literature for its own sake to students and stop trying to make it relevant to their lives. 🤓
