Loving the local Facebook group screaming for building Design Standards, Inclusive Zoning Requirements, 'luxury' housing restrictions, and ownership restrictions. Gotta love how predictable these discussions have become.

Good Enough.

Creative piece from the #ReframeRoadSafety campaign developed with NOYS (noys.org) earlier this year.

This campaign was built to call out those who design, approve & implement inequitable transportation systems that disproportionately affect youth + BIPOC communities.

If you provided feedback that came in at only 2.2% as long as the framework plan itself, did you even review anything?

83 pages into the 270 page local framework plan and all I feel is immense frustration at the diametrically opposed goals and actions:

"Affordable Housing!" - "Preserve Single Family Homes and enforce anti-cohabitation rules!"

Something to consider when the police or press report that a traffic crash victim is "likely to survive" is that such victims are often left with life-altering injuries, chronic health problems, countless financial problems, and unimaginable psychological trauma.

Yup, if you buy a home to live in, thats a commodity you consume. The point of buying is to use it and get it cheaper/more reliably than renting.

People treating housing as an investment is what lead to our current housing crisis. Making policy to increase housing values raises housing costs.
