The US Supreme Court has derailed researchers’ efforts to reinstate almost $2 billion in grants issued by the NIH. The court’s decision represents a remarkable reversal, allowing the Trump team to proceed with its science cuts.

@nyumedpostdocs.bsky.social reveals the mechanisms of de-capping Np4N, a noncanonical initiating nucleotide for RNAP. It binds substrates in two orientations, so target-mimic drugs might fail if one still works! Glad we contributed to this work! Congs to team!

Now on bioRxiv! Astrocytes in one brain region (cyan) communicate in expansive networks (magenta). Through tool development, tissue clearing, and many hours on our @zeiss-microscopy.bsky.social Z1, we now know these networks are repeatable across mice, plastic, and specific.
