Just a random reminder that trickle-down economics was invented by conservatives in the 1980s to justify massive tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations. It’s been nothing short of a disaster.

I'm rewatching old @umactually.bsky.social eps and in S8E3, I think Janie asks "Is there a mean chef lady who is has a tortured past" and I would like to send it out to the world that that's quite literally the chef lady (Collette, I think is her name) from Ratatouille

The skip button on ZZZ is a blessing and a curse because the game has such interesting lore/plots but so many people skip causing people to only know it as a "gooner game" which causes me genuine frustration

You get 20 extra characters on Bluesky which is great because it means, when you copy your old tweets into Bluesky you can always add “THUS SPOKE THE LICH!” to the end and it will still fit.

Your Black Friday reminder that in 75% of U.S. industries, a smaller number of companies now control more of the business than they did twenty years ago.

We must stop the monopolization of America. Shop small if you can, please.

There is a genre of tweet on this site that is just re-writing the sentence “Remember, the people you don’t like are bad people and you’re a good person for hating them” and it always gets over 10,000 likes but then this person gets 10 likes on their amazing nudibranch and I do worry about us…

People are often surprised when I tell them this: both Twitter and Facebook/insta/threads are now specifically engineered to downgrade, hide, suppress real journalism. If this platform is different, that's a huge change

I’ve been way more wrong than this, which is the second thing you’re wrong about in the same post
PFT is one of the greats but he has never been more wrong in this specific instance. Real comfort and relaxation is more RARE as an adult, but that makes it hit harder when you actually achieve it
Coziness when you are a little kid absolutely crushes adult coziness, no contest. Like when you think of “cozy” it’s always tied to when you felt cozy as a kid, right? We’re just chasing that vibe?

Some nights, you get to bond with family over sharing generational stories surrounding the events that forged us and the lessons to carry onto the generations to come.

Other nights, you introduce and try to explain Clowncore to your father-in-law.

Spending a month on Bluesky has created a whole new model of a fight we need to be having right now. Not liberal vs. conservative or whatever, but respect vs manipulation.

I am tired of being manipulated everywhere I go. That’s why I like it here, I feel like I’m in charge for once.
