Tempest sends condolences to the friends and family of Asad Haider, who passed away last week. Tempest conducted an extensive interview with Asad in 2020. Rest in Power!

Can someone please tell me why "urbanists" are so obsessed with Aldi, the crappy non-union grocery store?
Disappointed to see Johnson + Lyndale S not higher. NE is lacking in Network Now, and this line would directly connect students to the incoming Aldi near the Quarry.

Highly encourage folks take this survey and rank Johnson + Lyndale S as one of their top choices.
Really excited about the future of bus rapid transit after the opening of the E Line on Saturday. How about you? Take this Metro Transit survey to help decide where they build next.

Really sad to hear this, Asad was a total genius! Remembering this Black Panther movie which turns into both a meditation on Huey Newton's political thought and an appreciation of Detroit Techno act Drexciya.... One of a kind. RIP viewpointmag.com/2018/03/05/b...

This guy is viewed as a top liberal-left influencer in Minneapolis and he only shops at anti-union, anti-worker, anti-food Geman conglomerate Aldi. Ridiculous
This is what you voted for Ward 10. Four more years of chaos and disorder.

Twin City Tanning workers who face hazardous conditions and exposure to chemicals are on strike! They're demanding fair wages and good-faith bargaining. The workforce is largely immigrants, and at a rally Tuesday, interpreters were speaking in Spanish, English, and Karen. New from Amie Stager.

minnesotareformer.com/2025/10/10/s... It's too bad Fateh didn't actually leave the DFL over the Gaza Genocide, as that would have been a really brave and exciting move. Instead he stayed in the caucus and is now running a pretty moderate and uninspiring run for mayor.
Sen. Omar Fateh has used his leverage, even threatening to leave the DFL caucus • Minnesota Reformer

Starbucks told workers not to write Charlie Kirk’s name on cups and then told Fox News they didn’t have a policy prohibiting it. Now workers are being doxxed online.

Glad to see labor mobilizing against the troops in DC. Credit to grassroots opposition to Trump for making this possible!
DC communities are under attack. Federal troops, out-of-state National Guard, and Trump-controlled police are harassing, surveilling, and detaining Black and Brown residents, immigrants, youth, and unhoused neighbors. Join our march and demand federal forces leave DC NOW!

I'm really tired of people who are not labor endorsed saying that they are. How does being the 2nd choice of SEIU mean labor endorsed
i’ve seen a bunch of people saying their dewayne davis signs haven’t arrived yet - they ran out and have a backlog, their new ones should arrive in the next couple days!

got mine in my window now, second one in an apartment window on this block

This is precisely why labor is all-in on this year's Park Board races: Parks leadership is virulently anti-labor. MPRB unilaterally changed its parental leave policy, seemingly in 2022, but never enforced it until fall 2024 when they went after the mother of a preterm baby for $13k
