There's a small tourist agency in my hometown, for which I built the web with a dev friend, like 6 years ago. We charged them for coffee only because we wanted to help them. They're very nice ladies, in their 50s, not very tech-savvy. We're still getting the calls to fix the stuff they break. 🤭

People continue to assume they know what other people want instead of just… asking them.
Yesterday my partner and I counted all the ads along Chicago's Brown Line for "Friend," a company selling an AI chatbot pendant, and tallied how many of those ads were defaced.
Still working on a longer piece on this, but here's the quick and dirty: we counted 104 "Friend" ads total, 42 defaced.
