This commission statement refers to people with Autism, ADHD, asthma, auto-immune disease, and chronic illness as a “dire threat to the American people and our way of life”.

This is a manifesto against disability.

This is the language of eugenics.

This shit doesn’t happen in France and I’ll tell you why: the rich went too far once and they cut all their heads off and now, when those in power fuck workers over, the French stop working. Don’t forget your real power Americans. They don’t let you have unions for a reason.

Being ruthless about practicing self-compassion is the only way to build up self-esteem and regain any semblance of a healthy outlook after a lifetime of perfectionist self-flagellation over mistakes. Treat yourself like a beloved friend and shut down negative self-talk the instant you hear it.

Doing hard, or unpleasant things that takes away from your personal time to help others *does* have to be something we are all comfortable with. You cannot let the "relationships are transactional" capitalist brain rot take hold in your heart if there's any hope of things getting better.
Considering the number of posts I see expressing the idea that you shouldn't ask your friends for help moving and that basic kindness is now "emotional labor," that you should hire someone to do that for you, yeah, "throw money at it" has become people's one and only solution.
