And honestly I don't give a fuck if it's popular or not. It's going to make a lot of kids' lives better. That's the point of government. Not an opinion poll.

Do you ever think about how the most famous and influential anti-imperial resistance literature in Western history is the Book of Revelation?

Because their arms have been decommissioned pursuant to the Good Friday Agreement.

Still angry after seeing a gambling machine as a toy for kids in Smyths.

This isn't a toy, it's a gateway to a life of poverty.

Apple make a trailer, in English, with the voices of the Beatles. It gets a dubbed version in another language, this uses not the voices of the Beatles. Youtube autodubs that back into English coz we're watching from UK. This uses AI voices that are not the Beatles and it's insane.

Getting to the end of a 15 hr audiobook about Talking Heads thats been a slog to the end.

The gist of the book is:
- Byrne *might* have Aspergers and that might be the reason he f'd everyone
- The rest of the band were just competent players who never progressed to be masters of their instruments

We all know we’ve entered the “they’re banning Christmas” season now poppy rage is over on social media.

But I didn’t expect actual newspapers would take the confected outrage by anonymous far-Right Twitter accounts and turn them into “news” stories!

But here we are in 2025🤷🏼‍♀️

It's that day of the year where people moan about the Children in Need show.

Put your hand in your pocket, and shut the fuck up. It's not about you and what you like, it's about reminding you to donate.

Ah the 1970s.

Stagflation, three day weeks, collapsing infrastructure. Civil War in Northern Ireland. In yer face racism and bigotry everywhere. Bin strikes. Strikes in general. Blackouts. Industrial decline. Wage inequality. Dog crap everywhere. And households spent 25% of their income on food.

For me, Raye's Where The Hell Is My Husband is my song of the year.

When I saw her Glastonbury performance I thought this was already a hit for her and not a preview of the next album. The composition and chops to pull it off astound me every time I hear it.
