Outside of Fetterman (who's just an assumed yes) I think it's going to be very hard for any Dem Senator to justify funding this week.
ICE and DHS are out of control and making our communities less safe.
I will not support funding for DHS without clear accountability and stronger controls over the agency.
It is time for the Senate to do its job and rein in this lawlessness.

Even if this is true (big if) that’s no justification for shooting someone. Your life has to be in danger. The only person who reasonably felt his life was in danger was the guy mugged by half a dozen agents

This is it. Or more precisely, “Abolishing/defund ICE polls in the 40s. But if we go to Minny, the base/media will push us to take a stance close to abolish/defund. If we stay in DC, we can give vague anti-ICE talking points then move back to affordability, where our talking points are in the 70s.”
Why is Dem leadership not on the ground in MN? If the answer is “polls show Trump’s disapproval is only -15 on deportations, but -25 on prices,” thats a Bad Use Of Polling and a complete failure in their capacity as leaders to lead public opinion and fight for democracy and the rule of law

@challengers.bsky.social Listened to the latest episode. I’ve always why, instead of removing delinquent subscribers, you don’t instead require them to have a credit card on file that is charged as books are released. That way you keep their business and don’t have to chase them down every time

Half the amount that everyone currently pays could provide universal healthcare. Private health companies don’t need to exist. Eliminate them. And use your collective buying power and economies of scale to get it done. Every cent of their profit is healthcare denied.

Based on all his past punditry, MattY concludes from this that (even though the graph doesn’t take age into account so his whole theory could be misguided) Democratic politicians should come out forcefully in favor of childhood spanking.
As a white college educated Democrat, I think we are correct about this and the majority is wrong.
But it’s a reminder that I live in a bit of a bubble (and met most of you on here are in it with me) in terms of people’s views on things.

Sure is strange how this standard is applied far more often to people of color than poor white people who vote for Trump. Especially given the overwhelming choice of people who didn’t want to vote for Harris was just not to vote.
