Every year, people mock this tree. But I love it anyway.

It reminds us that if we stand together in tough times, we can overcome anything.

Merry Christmas from my family to yours. 🎄✨

Been paying for an Adobe Lightroom license for 11 years. They quietly upped the price by 50% this month, and have the temerity to demand an £83 cancellation fee just to cancel. This company can get in the bin.

Don't Panic: Britain is not broken. The UK can do better, but we shouldn't be too gloomy about things. If you look at the stats, there's a lot to be happy with (including how happy we are): adamcorlett.com/2025/11/30/d...

Booked to have my smart meter upgraded about a month ago. They’ve sent me 1 email, 2 texts and 1 robo phone call PER WEEK for the last 4 weeks just to remind me it’s still booked.

Of course, now the day comes, zero indication of when in their half day window they might arrive.

I can think of something else that’s actually out of control and dividing the country.
The Prime Minister said in September that we are at a fork in the road. These asylum proposals suggest we have taken the wrong turning.

The idea that recognised refugees need to be deported is wrong.

Thanks to open data, it's possible to look at what the spending on the cycle to work scheme is compared to other similar schemes, say vehicle salary sacrifice.
Both involve buying things before tax on wages so reducing your tax bill, giving an idea of the tax raising potential from each.

“Cycle to Work should be about helping ordinary commuters switch to greener travel, not giving tax breaks to high earners buying £4,000 e-bikes for weekend rides in the Surrey Hills”.

To the contrary, £4k can get a young family out of a car and onto a cargo bike in a cycle lane.
