New site, new profile? I love board games. I pretty much live and breathe 'em. Amateur miniature painter. Wife and kid are awesome. Consummate hermit. Fuck AI and fuck you if you defend it.

"We must have compassion for those on the losing side" was the legacy mistake of the post civil war era and we are still suffering from it today
I also firmly believe that we need to crush these people’s spirits into blood and earth, not be *nice* to the amoral supporters of an aspirational gore-soaked dictator

Yeah trans people should collectively be able to run months of constant ads telling the GOP to eat shit if Trump loses

I spent five years writing about my favorite music. Honestly, my primary audience was my daughter. The journey of writing about it all was rather revelatory to me though.

I run the academy where we teach right wing influencers how to stand normally and these are my two best students. Very proud of them

death to generative language models. i am so tired of them. even when they were brand new it wasn't even that cool. i want the ai bubble to explode already so we can be done with this misery.
On the other place saw this tweet and it made me sad.

Anybody here play Funkoverse? My wife loves Funkos so of course we own it. We also own over 200 regular Funkos so I've started making custom characters! It's actually a lot of fun. Look at this big galoot! He *might* be a little on the strong side, but he's one of my Top 3 Marvel characters. >.>

Haven't seen a lot of talk about this game. I think it has been overshadowed by the continuing adoration for Sleeping Gods, but I loved this game. I did not expect to power through a campaign in a week, but that's what happened. It's an absolute BEAST to set up and break down, 1/

This is tough because my pops was super into video games when I was a kid. We had an Odyssey, Atari, C64, and he took me to arcades. There's several other candidates, but I think it had to be one of these 3.

It took 5 years, but I have finally completed ranking the entirety of my music collection. With that I have created a Top 500! (of sorts) It was a fun, dumb project. Feel free to check it out and share!

I don't take many pictures, but if there's one thing I can count on to measure time it's pics of me and the kid in a restaurant booth on vacation. 2013 vs. 2023. I have significantly less hair and she has significantly less interest in Thomas the Tank Engine.

Gencon is over. Lot of ups AND downs this year. Some cool games, chatted with some nice people, some lovely moments for my daughter (her 1st gencon). The downs are varied, but many related to how much the con has grown and the many changes they have made.

My daughter hasn't had many chances to express herself as an individual. Partly my fault as an anxiety-ridden hermit parent. Partly gross small town living. But based on her gencon purchases she has branded herself a sword-wielding, druidic furry gay ally. I'm okay with that.

Happy Birthday, kid!

I ran Storm Hollow with my wife and daughter yesterday-- a game we've had on the shelf for several years. I was quite skeptical of it, but it was a delight, not only to prepare for, but to play. A very light, open-ended, kid-friendly RPG with board game elements. Can't wait to do more after GenCon.

Only got a few followers potentially going, but curious what games folks are excited to check out at GenCon. For me:

Matrix Legendary!
City of the Great Machine
Queen by Midnight
Forbidden Jungle
Last Light
Fox Experiment
and #1: Tesseract

Last one is only demo but looks so cool!

Welp, made it through the badlands to here. Hopefully, I can keep it pretty game centric here. What's going on w/ me:
-Prepping for GenCon
-Gonna finally play Storm Hollow with fam tomorrow
-Reorganizing my Shadows of Brimstone with arrival of recent KS
-First major shelf rearrange since Covid!
