Yes, I'm a socialist! (Which several people on here already seem to know, prolly off my same-named Twitter account!)

I'm also a Neopagan. (Into New Age, Wicca/witchcraft and the god Loki! He's my Patron: hence the handle.)

Single woman based in Cornwall.
@graemepryce.bsky.social Hi Graeme! I'm now following you on some of your socials! 🙂👍 (I just put a couple of posts + a link on your Twitter, which I won't duplicate here, because to do so would be boring! 🙂)

If we don't want to deal with a Farage government then we absolutely HAVE to call out the guy who's making it almost inevitable by amplifying all its talking points. If Starmer goes unchallenged we will DEFINITELY have to deal with one.

One thing that annoys me is the condescending tone many Labour supporters use when talking to those of us who, for example, have immigrant family members on visas and are worried about them. I posted about this yesterday and a guy just replied with a link to Starmer's conference speech.

The good stuff is drowned under the xenophobic shit. I can’t give ‘credit’ for stuff whilst I’m being told my wife and friends are part of a ‘squalid chapter’ that did incalculable harm to the country.

I don’t think you understand how much harm the xenophobia does to the way Labour appears.

That needs to change first. Otherwise, understandably, people will choose parties that don’t spout the hate. The alternatives exist - the SNP in Scotland, PC in Wales, the Greens and Lib Dems. Getting voters back is in Labour’s hands, but they don’t even realise they’ve buggered it all up.

One of the smartest things @greenparty.org.uk are doing is making their movement about more than just their leader.

It’s the best way to tackle the cult (yes I spelled that right) of Farage; and the desperate mediocrity of Labour.
Here's to putting people and planet first in 2026.

Happy New Year from all of us at the Green Party.

The BBC mentions Italy as a bad example (failing to say why), but Italy benefitted massively by lowering the interest rates on their huge debt taken on when they had the Italian Lira.

Maybe is good for Britain to adopt the € considering our debt costs are HIGHER than Greece’s?

The top 10% of richest Americans own 87% of stocks.

The top 1% alone own roughly half of all stocks.

It's worth pointing out once again that the stock market is not the economy.

Aaagggghh! The raging inadequacy of these fascistic wankers; wanting to control everything that challenges the limits of their own brains and idiotic notions of patriotism… which is a lot..
Please god can we make reason and decency persuasive again. This relentless horseshit is beyond tedious.

I’m old enough to remember Sir Keir bounding across the House to shake old Nige’s hand and do a big show of matey civility politics. I watched his Enoch Powell speech, saw the billowing sixty foot flags, listened to Mahmood’s migration crackdown announcement. But sure, the Greens

As a long time Labour Party member, I didn't resign because I was seduced by the Greens. It was because I was disgusted by the bigotry of Cooper, Mahmood, & Starmer.

Only when Labour made me politically homeless did I look at the Greens. Then I joined them.

I need a party with a moral compass.

Can't be done without curbing profiteering, increasing real wages, democratizing the workplace, equitable distribution of income/wealth.

Start by ending privatisation of water/energy.

Let's hope that 2026 brings better politics - a resurgence of the Left, and less of the destructive ideas and personalities of Farage and Trump! 🤞👍

2025 spend is likely more. If you donate to them, remember ‘they understand working people’.

Especially in light of Nigel Farage allowing his candidate in Hampshire Chris Perry to remain in post after his multiple racist comments.
