Akira Kurosawa’s “Ran” (1985). Incredible images, an amazing soundtrack, solid performances, and heavy observations of human nature. Even better, I got to see it in the theater.

They do not have a plan, they’ve never had a plan. They’ve also never had the votes to repeal the ACA which is *OVERWHELMINGLY* popular, nor have they been able to get the Supreme Court to overturn it, so instead they’ve just shut down the entire government to try forcing Dems to stop funding it.

“woke” is when you acknowledge that black people have contributed to the united states
Two panels commemorating the contribution of Black American soldiers towards the liberation of the Netherlands in World War Two have been quietly removed from a cemetery in Limburg. It follows a complaint by right-wing think tank The Heritage Foundation to the American Battle Monuments Commission.

Growing up in Omaha, which was right next to the Strategic Air Command, I knew we’d be a first strike target if World War III broke out. Knowing we’d probably be wiped out immediately, and not have to suffer, was actually a source of comfort to grade school me.
As a kid what was that one terrible disaster you were absolutely prepared for happening and had figured out ways to escape but have never so much as seen it irl, ever?
