This is great from Hysteria, on Kash Patel. As always, it is lengthy but very well researched.

As an outsider, may I make a few suggestions to mull over:

- Forbid the election of a POTUS with a criminal record.
- Make SCOTUS appointees apolitical, chosen by their peers, or an independent body. Set a maximum term of 10 years.
- Give the new SCOTUS the power of Presidential impeachment.

You mean our panel of unelected lifetime serving religious fundamentalist clerics (oh wait we call them judges) who get to decide what problems we are allowed to solve, is anti democratic? Color me shocked.

The authoritarian takover of the state bureaucracy might not *sound* like a big deal. But SCOTUS giving Trump the ability to fire the federal government is a God-King power, and represents a failure of the American Revolution.

They're using the confinement box, one of the most horrific methods of CIA torture in the post-9/11 black sites, against migrants now. This is the direct result of the lack of consequences for the architects of the torture program. Either there will be criminal penalties for this or it will expand.

All of this is supported and encouraged by a corrupt SCOTUS.
They take bribes, they are partisan to the max. They have flipped Stare Decisis upside down and inside out to support #Felon47's unlawful agenda. This is a coup.

Same vein:
SCOTUS should have 13 members, one each from each district.

Districts should elect their SCOTUS representative by 2/3 vote to serve a 5 year term after which point they return to their District Court seat.

SCOTUS Justices are DC Judges and are covered by same ethics rules.
I'm going to keep saying this in my effort to speak it into reality: Supreme Court should have at least 100 Justices with rotating panels (and maybe an en banc option). No single Justice should have so much power and they shouldn't be names everyone knows.
A court with a normal-ish conservative majority would have been tolerable. I'm not eager for court packing, impeaching justices, and other such options. But this court sticking around post-Trump is untenable. They've already torched their own legitimacy, the only question is what do we do about it.

SCOTUS is preparing to give President Trump the power to fire FTC commissioners at will. This is an unprecedented expansion of executive authority.

Trump is once again using his wealth and influence to expand power for himself and the corporate class. We have to fight back.

There are many ways of fighting propaganda but a big one is enforcing antitrust law. Media corporations are too big and too consolidated and too incentivized to traffic in lies. They must be broken up into little pieces, like Ma Bell back in the day.

If SCOTUS tears down the 14th Amendment, there can be no moderate position for ANY Democrat. If they tear it down the Constitution of the United States, SCOTUS should be deemed lawless and the Democrats must go to war with lawlessness.
The fact that SCOTUS is going to tell us who's an American and who's not is THE REASON why the Democrats must stop playing around. It's time to defend immigration as a universal good and in terms of liberty and justice for all.

Accepting rightwing lies as if they're true is how we got here.
