Honestly this has always been weird to me. Giving the head of the executive unilateral pardoning power seems to have only one expectable outcome right? There aren't really two different waysthis could go.

At rhe risk of undermining my bit of Never Being Serious On Here, I want to think about the post I'm joking about here. A lot of people have told me the rise of AI jobs in philosophy means weaker candidates are getting all the jobs. I don't think that's quite right.
The screenshotted post is dangerously reductive: some of us were weaker candidates who were luckily in fashion AND knew a bunch of people on search committes from posting "Tim Williamson kinda thicc tho" memes on twitter

So i just got an email from my institution that they have set up a dedicated research aid ai and one of the things advertised is that they can help doing mathematical calculations - am i wrong to think that this is NOT something llm's can reliably do?
