It's not a bad idea to go to the local Walmart or big box retailer and buy lots of consumables now. From toothpaste to soap, anything you can find storage space for, buy before they have to replenish inventory.
Even if it's made in the USA , they will jack up the price and blame it on tariffs.

Trump and Vance act as if the problem is that Ukraine is resisting an ongoing Russian invasion. The problem is the ongoing Russian invasion. If they want to use American power to stop the war, apply it to the aggressor. Abusing the victim is not going to end a war of aggression.

Leaders of nations across the globe like, respect, and get along with Zelensky. He has not had meetings with any of them that were anything other than cordial and respectful from both sides. Only one was hostile, disrespectful, obnoxious, nasty, and vicious - Donald Trump.

Trump said it out loud. It was for TV. Mainly for an audience of one, but also in an effort to look tough and strong. His deep, deep insecurity—something he and Vance share—demands moments like these where he tries to look like a strongman.
one thing thats bizarre is that this was very clearly a planned ambush of zelensky, but to what end? supporting ukraine and opposing russia are *extremely* popular. its not only awful but its bad politics for an admin in an increasingly fraught position
