UNEP (2025): “The report looks at what it would take to limit overshoot to about 0.3°C, with a 66 per cent chance, and return to 1.5°C by 2100. This scenario would require cutting 2030 emissions by 26 per cent and 2035 emissions by 46 per cent, compared with 2019 levels.”

What would this take?👇🏻
Can we still limit warming to 1.5°C by the end of the century?

At #COP30, leaders are discussing this—but are we doing enough? @elliej.bsky.social breaks down a 1.5°C scenario using the #EnROADS Simulator, including what it would take and what’s at stake.👇 www.climateinteractive.org/blog/1-5degc...

The high temperature today at London Heathrow was 4.4C (40F) this is decently cold for mid November. Around 7C below average.

It is lowest maximum for November 20th in 40 years at LHR where on this day in 1985, it was 3.4C.

1985 was also coldest November on record (1948-).

Another positive feedback loop that isn't all that positive for the planet. Its findings like this that nudge your thinking towards more sea level rise than currently projected.
It's a powerful feedback loop: more ice shelf melting changes salinities which generates more ocean turbulence, which in turn causes more melting — with major implications for ice shelf stability and global sea level rise. (arrow shows max melt ratio)
