Other than the very rare examples of, say, someone who researches rightwing fascists to like, warn and educate people of what the evil ghouls are up to, I find the argument that "looking at your content" often enough to justify following not being an endorsement to be a pretty flagrant coward's lie.

I was just about to point that out. The infamous Aloy edit was done by running her through a specific filter like a dozen times specifically to make fun of these people, then somebody took it out of context and once it was removed from the mockery they just went "yes exactly this"
