This is where we are now: An elementary school at Fort Campbell has removed all books from its library that so much as *allude* to slavery or the civil rights movement.

"whiplash" is a good movie. in that it shows you a great model for how not to ever behave. ever. like if you seem to be acting remotely like a character in that movie. stop that. right now.

Idk man I was at a pickleball court that was playing the superbowl on the speakers and everyone in the room was JAMMING when the halftime show happened.
"The halftime show was boring."

Look, you may not be familiar with the genius of Kendrick Lamar and couldn't quite hear the lyrics and don't know the backstory and the symbolism went over your head, but trust me when I say you'll want to read an analysis of it and rewatch. A true masterpiece.

I honestly believe our most powerful position in a toxic time that feeds on cynicism, apathy,& despair is to genuinely care and act for a better world.

Cynicism is our enemy. We should check it, incl. on the left. It’s not intellectually superior. It’s the virus they’re trying to infect us with. NO
