This is it.
I would like to be wrong abt this. I would like for white conservatism to accept dissent & respect the rights & ideas of others. I would love to live in an actual democracy. Until we actually address the problem of chronic right wing lawlessness, however, all the rest is just wishful thinking.

The "DOGE is gone" articles are clickbait but this one gets it closer to the truth: DOGE is not gone, it just claims to have "no centralized leadership" anymore -- in other words, its leadership is hiding in an attempt to avoid blame.
DOGE no longer has ‘centralized leadership’ under White House tech team, personnel head says
The team that was altered to house DOGE — formerly the U.S. Digital Service — is also still doing its own technology work across agencies.

Utterly ludicrous framing from @nytimes.com here, treating Pete Hegseth's arguments as if they're legitimate. The casual reader will be left with no inkling whatsoever of how unusual and corrupt an abuse of the process this truly is:

One of the ways to read this is trump just suffered yet another loss within his own party. He is rapidly losing his iron grip.
Trump was going to unveil his proposal today for extending Obamacare subsidies. A backlash from Republicans derailed that plan.

Now... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Trump’s health care plan in flux amid GOP backlash
Lawmakers just have a few weeks left to reach a deal to avoid a massive premium spike for ACA enrollees.

People should keep this in mind—not that bots are some kind of instigator of hate (people do that all on their own—we are a cruel species) but that the right wing is so intellectually inept it can be recreated by bots.

As long as we don’t know how many bots there are, you should not argue
Seeing how much of the right-wing on Twitter is just bot farms, kinda lays bare how much hate and hatred is a project that needs to be constantly maintained, a fire that needs to be fed all the time lest it go out for a moment, so much time, effort, and resources to keep people angry and hateful.

Calling them the “Seditious Six” & branding their statements “despicable” before review is textbook definition of prejudgment. No panel, judge, or reviewing authority can claim neutrality once the SECDEF declares the accused guilty. This looks like the procedures used in dictatorships, not the US.

I was told recently that the FBI and DC Metro PD take academy cadets to the Holocaust Museum to punctuate the danger of mindlessly following illegal and immoral orders.

Be curious to know what other agencies do this — and if they’re still doing it.
BLITZER: I want to be precise. Should members of the US military obey clearly illegal orders?

McCLAIN: You're asking an enlisted person for their opinion on what they think is legal. That's a pretty slippery slope. Follow your commander in chief. That's the oath that you took
